Q. What is the nature of the contest and is it open for all ?

7d Booster : Sprint Design Contest is an open ideas design contest and is open for all Architecture and Design Aspirants.

Q. Do we need to submit the project at conceptual stage only or at execution level ?

7D Booster invites all aspirants to take part in this to boost their mind and work effectively in a proper 7 day span. The competition aims aspirants to come up with unique ideas not thinking much on execution part.

Q. Are multiple entries allowed for submission ?

Participants are free to submit multiple entries but each entry needs to be registered by a separate email ID which will generate unique Team code.

Q. Is there any particular scale for submission ?

There is no particular scale for submission. The design contest desires to see unique presentation and composition skills of participants. All the texts and drawings should be readable.

Q. What unit system should a participant use in case if anyone wants to show dimensions ?

The participants are free to use any one of imperial or metric unit systems.

Q. Can participants come in teams ?

For the first time in India, a sprint design contest is conducted. The contest aims individuals to come up with their own uniqueness.

Q. How do an individual receive their unique team code ?

All the participants will receive their unique team codes on completion of registration within 24 hours. (mail at support@archresource.co with subject as UTC if participants don’t receive their unique within 24 hours after registration)

Q. Will participants receive certificate for being part of the competition ?

All participants will receive digital Certificates, have a chance to join the VIP Digital Architects Hub on Facebook and a free pass to attend the virtual event irrespective of the winners. (visit archresource.co/events for more details)

Q. What should be the sheet size for submission ?

The participants are required to use an A2 sheet i.e. (420mm X 594mm). The sheet must be composed in Landscape Orientation, with Unique Team Code on the top right corner.

Q. What are the payment options ?

The available payment options are, 1. Direct bank transfer; 2. Debit/ Credit cards- Mastercard/ Visa/ Maestro/ RuPay; 3. Netbanking- SBI/ HDFC/ ICICI; 4. Wallets and 5.UPI (If participants face any problem during payment, mail at support@archresource.co with subject ‘Payment Issue’, Our team will provide you with a different payment method)

Q. What are the modes of submissions ?

The participants are requested to submit their work through mail on submission@archresource.co in A2 size sheet in 150 DPI resolution formats (max 5mb) (for more details, read submission guidelines carefully from the brief)

Q. What should be the submission file size ?

The file sizes should not exceed more than 5mb. Submissions exceeding file size of 5mb will be disqualified automatically. (Read submission guidelines carefully from the brief)

Q. Is there any specific format of sheet presentation ?

7D Booster : Sprint Design Contest aims to bring out unique ideas of sheet composition and presentations.

Q. What file name should be given to submission material ?

JPEG of your project must be submitted via email to: submission@archresource.co. TEAMCODE must be the subject of the email.

Q. What is a referral code ? What is a referred code ? How to get one referral code ?

After completion of registration, one has to send the proof of registration (screenshot of transaction along with your referred code(if any)) to support@archresource.co with sub 'Confirmation of registration'.

If a participant 'B' has a referred code(referral code of participant A), he/she can submit the referred code with the proof of registration. If the registration get's confirmed, in return the participant 'B' receives a referral code and the participant 'A' whose referral code participant 'B' submitted in referred code gets 1 point.

Here participant 'A' is already registered and hence shared his/her referral code.

Now participant 'B' has the privilege to share his/her referral code to any number of people and if 5 participants complete their registration process using his/her referral code as referred code, He/She gets 5 points and his entire registration money (INR 500/-) is refunded within 2-3 working days. [NOTE- For Early Registrations]

Q. Where all do the participants need to use their unique team code ?

All participants would be using their team code on the top right corner of their submission sheet, as the name of their submission and wherever requested by organizer. This code will be the only identification for the process related with this competition. (for more, refer brief)

Q. Can hand drawn sheets be submitted ?

Yes ! The participants are requested to submit their work through mail on submission@archresource.co in A2 size sheet in 150 DPI resolution formats (max 5mb) (Read submission guidelines carefully from the brief)

Q. Is there any multi entry participants discount ? How to avail ?

Yes there is multi entry discount. If 2, 3 or more participants want to register at the same time, they can avail the multi entry discount. (Mail us at support@archresource.co to avail the discount!)

Q. What to do if there is any payment issues ?

Participants can mail us a query on support@archresource.co with subject ‘payment failure’. We would send you all other possible payment methods!

Q. What do you mean by imaginary rectangular plot ?

A plot which can be probably imagined differently by all !

Q. Area is given as 24sqmt and ratio of length:bredth is given as 3:2. How to proceed ?

Q. Are participants allowed to show walls if required ?

Participants have the freedom make any necessary additions.

Q. Is there any Height Restriction ?

NO

Q. Is there any fixed number of residents to accommodate ?

NO

Q. Any restrictions in submission ?

Proposal may be presented using any technique of your choice. Refer Submission Requirement for more.

Q. Any restrictions on location of site ?

It’s Imaginary. Participants ‘can’ imagine as if it’s their own home space.

Q. Any suggestions for participants ?

Participants must go through the Submission Requirements, Submission Format and Evaluation Criteria Once again.

Q. Why so different from normal competitions ?

We want participants to come up with unique ideas to redefine any home space/ spaces in detail in the given area. The contest will focus mainly on conceptualization, how the participant visualizes and implements the thought, regardless of whether it can be constructed or not.

Q. Is plot area equal to built up area

YES

Q. Is there any specific criteria on keeping the climate and the user in mind ?

NO It’s upto the participants

Q. What is the role of 15 hints ?

For better understanding of different home spaces.

Q. Is it necessary to design a complete home ?

NO Participants are allowed to design any home space/spaces in the given plot area .

Q. Is mezzanine floor allowed ?

NO

Q. Is it compulsory to focus on the interior design as well if we design any home space/spaces in the given plot area(built up area as well) ?

YES ! But it’s not the main judging criteria.

Q. Is it compulsory to design the exterior of what we built ?

NO, it’s not compulsory. It’s the choice of participants.
